We're proud of the bands that we've recorded...

Chimp

Chimp release their debut album Lowfer on the 20th of May. It's out on Slow Records (3mv/pinnacle cat. no. chimp002) . It took about 10 days to record on a tight budget but we're really pleased with the final results.

Coin Op

A rock n' roll band on an adventure in stereo. Described as Punk Rock Pop with all manner of electronic sounds they clearly take their influences from Mark E Smith, Slint & The Sweet. This is popular music for the unpopular.

Palm Springs

"Second release from the fantastic Brighton based Palm Springs on their own Random Acts of Vinyl label. The wonderful acoustic sense and gorgeous melodies add up to something quite special here. Very limited and very good, just right for the leaves turning."

Alaska

Veering from the subtle and melancholic to the angry and chaotic. This Brighton three piece weave a painful journey through the intensely personal emotions of living.

Mudlow

"With a voice like a rarely (although occasionally liberally) greased pawnshop trombone, Mudlow's Tobias wails, croons, growls and squalls across the lushly criminal sultry seaport landscape that is "Welcome To Mudlow Country"... This is frayed sharp black suit Outlaw Music..." Rick Saunders' World

Beaumont

Beaumont could be a character that lives opulently and rents a palazzo in Venice on the Canal Grande like Lord Byron, Wagner or Cole Porter to achieve a musical state of grace.
He belongs to an imaginary beau monde with Aretha Franklin, Picasso, The Monochrome Set, Orange Juice, Belle and Sebastian, Dionne Warwick, Go-Betweens and Brigitte Bardot.

Astrid Williamson

As recently as last November, after a Williamson live show, Julie Burchill commented that “I was expecting a sort of quiet in-the-library version of Kate Bush but instead it was like Johnny Cash and Brigitte Bardot had had a baby and stuck a guitar in its mitt” and, indeed, there’s hardly anything “folk-tinged” about her. Apart from its intimacy, Day Of The Lone Wolf is also a thoroughly modern record.

"Day of The Lone Wolf" is out now on One Little Indian Records.
